Wharton Future of Finance Policy Series

The Future of Finance Policy Series brings together leading scholars, policymakers, industry practitioners, and legal experts to examine the most pressing challenges and innovative technologies facing financial markets and institutions.

Through a three-stage process — commissioned white papers, roundtable discussions, and public webinars — the series fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and leads to actionable insights at the intersection of finance, innovation, and policy.
Each series begins with an original white paper by a leading or emerging scholar, commissioned by WFFI. These papers address timely issues at the intersection of finance, law, policy, and regulation and are written for a broad interdisciplinary audience.
Authors present early drafts of their papers at invitation-only roundtables that bring together experts from academia, industry, government, and the legal profession. Participants engage in candid discussion and provide feedback that helps strengthen the research and refine its policy implications.
After the paper is revised and published, the author joins WFFI Academic Director Itay Goldstein for a public webinar. These conversations highlight the paper’s key findings and explore their relevance for current policy debates, reaching audiences across academia, industry, and government.
